Jennifer and I are throwing another party on our hill. This years event is being held on November 8th.

Beverages

We have decided not to buy a keg this year. In the past it either got too rowdy or never got fully drank. We will have beverages here, but feel free to bring your own beverage of choice. There will be plenty of coolers to store your beverages.

Age Limit

This party is 100% KID FRIENDLY. There is no need to get a babysitter for this party, please bring your kids. We will be having a hay ride, hot dogs, marshmallows, smores, juice boxes, kid chairs and we usually have glow sticks too. Our kids are pretty cool and love playing with other kids. :)

Keep in mind that this does not mean we're throwing a "kid party", it just means that kids are welcome here to enjoy the evening with us. We are huge kid poeple and our girls are just as excited about this party as we are. They will all be up there enjoying the camp fire with us,

Time & Directions

The bonfire will probably be lit around 8pm or later. But really, anytime after 6pm is fine. We'll be partying until the wee hours of the morning, so don't worry about being "late".
  • From Northeast Columbus: Follow 161E all the way to exit 146. 161E turns into 16E right before Granville, so you never have to turn off of the main road. Thank ODOT for that!
  • From Central Columbus: Follow I 70E to SR 79N. Take 79N to 16E and keep going until you get to exit 146.
  • From Everywhere Else: Print your own directions by clicking the image below:

From exit 146

Once you've made it to the 146 exit, you will see a gas station on the right. You are literally 1/2 of a mile from the party. Turn right off of the exit, pass the gas station, and then turn right onto Toboso Rd. Our farm is 1/4 mile down the road on the left.

You'll see signs...

Parking

The parking arrangements are as follows:
  • Pull up the driveway
  • Turn left before the barn
  • Turn right behind the barn
  • Drive strait ahead until you see other cars
  • Park beside a car

If those directions scare you, don't worry there will be signs.

Music

Typically we have live music by the camp fire as well, so it's very laid back. This is of course assuming that people bring their instruments again this year. I'll have my djimbe (it's a drum) up on the hill and encourage anybody with such musical talents skills to bring their instruments as well. If nobody brings any instruments, it's T100 (country music) all night long. Consider yourself warned... That's just how we get down out here.

Camping Arrangements

Bring your tents! Last year, nobody ended up sleeping on the hill, but we setup our tent anyway and let the kids play in them all night. If anybody does plan to camp, there are lots of places you can setup that's far enough from the bonfire if you decide to call it in early.

If I missed something or if you have questions, please email me lucas at hardbarger dot com.

Hope to see you there!!
